The gotchas
Patreon's replacement advice: 'If most of your earnings still process on the 1st, don't worry - you can check your Available Balance from the 1st through the 5th for the clearest picture of what's been successfully processed. You can also visit your Earnings dashboard any time to track ongoing payment activity. Most payments will be in by the 5th, with any remaining charges continuing to retry automatically after that.' The same paragraph is repeated at the end of Where is my Payout?.
support.patreon.com checked 2026-09-04Patreon also warns that the USD-to-local rate is not locked at the moment you click withdraw: 'Because exchange rates change throughout the day, the exact rate applied may vary slightly depending on when your withdrawal is processed in the hours after you initiate it.'
support.patreon.com checked 2026-09-04Patreon's advice for affected creators is to disconnect Payoneer and reconnect a bank account in another region or move to PayPal/Hyperwallet, and 'If you have no alternative bank or decide not to switch to PayPal, we recommend paying out your existing balance before August 31, 2026' - a date that has already passed as of this check on 2026-09-04. Only one Payoneer account can be linked to a Patreon account. The FAQ also notes a payout limit of $20,000 USD set by Payoneer or PayPal.
support.patreon.com checked 2026-09-04Both guides also warn that PayPal's own charges sit on top of Patreon's payout fee: 'PayPal may add additional fees if you transfer from PayPal to your bank account. Fees vary depending on the currency of your account and your location.' A typo in the linked PayPal email is called out as a common cause of a lost payout.
