Payout Atlas

What counts as evidence of earnings for a creator? By country and use case

Creators paid by platforms rarely have a payslip, and most fan platforms do not issue anything that looks like one. The question that follows — what do I show a landlord, a lender, or an immigration officer instead? — comes up constantly in creator forums and is answered badly. Below is what gatekeepers in five jurisdictions usually ask for.

This page does not help produce any document. There is no letter generator, template or download here, and nothing on this site is intended to help anyone create, alter, backdate or re-word a record of earnings. It describes documents that already exist and who normally issues them.

The matrix

Gatekeeper columns describe practice commonly reported in threads and lender pages, not a rule.

The documents behind those cells

Which platforms publish an earnings statement

Very few. As checked in August 2026: OnlyFans has no published export, only an on-screen payout ledger, and issues a 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC to US creators. Fansly's own help centre describes an on-screen earnings view with no download step, and issues one consolidated 1099-NEC per taxpayer ID. JustFor.Fans makes its 1099 available on request, US only. LoyalFans has no documented export, and Fanvue has none documented either (unverified). Patreon publishes earnings, withdrawal-history, transaction and tax CSV downloads in its Payouts documents tab. Twitch does publish downloadable payout reports (unverified). Chaturbate, ManyVids and Gumroad were not checked for this page.

The practical consequence: for most creators the exportable record is the bank statement, not the platform.

What creators report

Forum threads are consistent, and paraphrased here without usernames. A dancer asking how to prove income for a car loan found that replies said the lender reads the filed return and nothing else (thread). A UK creator applying for a first mortgage described the tension between the tax return's job description and what a lender wants to know (thread). Someone on state aid described having to supply a proof of income at every cash-out (thread). And the recurring rental question is simply which document to send and how much to disclose (thread).

Nothing here is tax or legal advice, and no part of it says what anyone should file or claim. For that, ask a qualified professional in your own country.
